Step 4

Quantity

Step 4 of 7

Set the order quantity

Quantity is the number of finished boxes for this box type. It affects price per piece and production planning.

What this step controls

Price-per-unit behavior (larger runs often reduce per-piece cost)

Whether inserts/components match the carton quantity

The production run size for each box type (Box 1, Box 2…)

How to fill the fields

Enter the quantity

Choose the quantity you want to order

Multiple boxes

Set the quantity for each box seperatelly

Larger orders

By making larger orders, price per box will be smaller

One box type (single run)

If you’re ordering one folding carton type, enter the number of finished boxes you actually need for your next cycle (launch, monthly stock, seasonal campaign).

Multiple tabs (carton + insert)

If Box 2 is an insert for Box 1, quantities usually match (1 insert per 1 carton). If only part of the run needs inserts, write that clearly in Step 6 (e.g., “insert only for 500 of 2,000 cartons”).

Common mistakes

  • Entering one “total” quantity for all tabs combined

  • Entering sets instead of finished boxes (“500 sets” instead of “500 boxes”)

  • Forgetting to update quantity after switching Box tabs

  • Mixing up Step 1 (number of box types) with Step 4 (run quantity)
